If you don’t like your smile, change it! Several procedures exist to enhance the appearance of flawed teeth. One of the most popular is the application of veneers. These realistic, durable coverings for teeth eliminate flaws in shape, size, and color to give you the smile you’ve always wanted. At his cosmetic dentistry practice in the Park Cities, Dr. Lindley offers hand-made porcelain veneers and minimal-prep veneers.

Crafted from high-quality dental porcelain that looks like real tooth enamel, custom veneers transform teeth with chips, stains, a slight misalignment, or an unattractive shape. Unlike your own tooth enamel, however, porcelain veneers resist staining from the things you eat and drink. This means that they maintain their beautiful appearance for the long term. Dr. Lindley will remove a small amount of tooth enamel in order to permanently bond your porcelain veneers in place.

This type of veneer offers an alternative to people who don’t like the idea of altering natural tooth structure. As the name implies, minimal-prep veneers require little to no manipulation of tooth enamel prior to application. As a result, they can be removed by the dentist in the future to reveal your natural smile. If you want to improve your smile’s appearance, but you don’t like injections – or commitment! – then minimal-prep veneers might be right for you.
